GAA is dedicated to our GAA Policy of Healthy Lunches for children.
Please ensure that your child brings a fruit and/or vegetable portion with them daily. GAA does not permit candy at school, to avoid ‘sugar high’ behaviour challenges and ensure that classmates are able to happily learn together with ease.

Fruit Wraps with Yogurt
Made with thin pancakes, yogurt, nutella, and fruits! Strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, bananas, grapes are great for this colorful & yummy fruit snack or desert!
As always, the child can be responsible for cutting the fruits themselves using a sharp but very safe plastic kitchen knive. They LOVE these knives! - And the independence of making their own healthy snack!

My favourite lunchtime snack as a child was "bumps on a log"! It's made of celery with hummus down the middle and raisins on top! It may sound odd.. but kids LOVE it! This snack is very high in fibre and protein, which is needed to build, repair, grow, and maintain all cells in the body, including the growth & repair of tissue and muscles!
Yummy Caterpillar
This fun snack can be made with bananas, berries, grapes, apples - and any other fruit you find! Kids can make it at home the night before, so they are excited to eat it for snack the next day at school! Fruits are high in fibre, which plays an important role in supporting a healthy digestive system, by keeping the body's system clean and running smoothly. This is the answer to avoiding constipation in children!
